When and Where is the Celebration?
Celebrate Love! Celebrate Diversity! Celebrate the 48th Anniversary of Loving vs. Virginia.
Please join us for a family-friendly Loving Day Celebration. Interracial couples, their families, and multiracial folks are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome! Feel free to participate in our Mixed-Heritage Trivia game, share your personal stories during breakout sessions or join the kids at the craft table.
Event is free and open to the public.
Hope to see you there!
If anyone is interested in helping plan this year's event, please let me know.
Loving Day (June 12) celebrates the legalization of interracial marriage after the 1967 Supreme Court case, Loving v. Virginia. Loving Day was founded to commemorate this historical milestone and "to fight racial prejudice through education and to build multicultural community". www.lovingday.org
