When and Where is the Celebration?
CELEBRATE EID, CELEBRATE LOVING DAY, CELEBRATE DIVERSITY.
Join us in a celebration of our diverse community on Saturday, June 16th from 9:30am to 11am at Rosebud Coffee in Pasadena.
CELEBRATE EID - Eid al-Fitr is the holiday that marks the end of the Muslim holy month Ramadan, where able-bodied Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.
CELEBRATE LOVING DAY - Loving Day is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation (interracial relationships) laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states.
CELEBRATE DIVERSITY - Come meet a Muslim, an interfaith/interracial family, and get to know your neighbors in support of building community in Pasadena. Bring the whole family too!
Rosebud Coffee (a nonprofit supporting homeless and transitional youth) is a great cafe for many reasons, including its kids play/toy corner, so this is a very KID-FRIENDLY event. We'll have some complimentary kid snacks to offer as well as some children's books on Islam to read and coloring pages to enjoy. And a free raffle to win tickets to the Skirball Cultural Center!
(Free) Parking lot in the back. Please note, Rosebud closes at 11am on Saturdays.
