Celebrate Loving Day (and Father's Day!) by watching the critically-acclaimed 2016 film, Loving at the Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest on Sunday, June 17th.

Ruth Negga snagged an Oscar nomination for her performance of Mildred Loving. Joel Edgerton is compelling as Richard Loving.

This film is based on the award-winning documentary, "The Loving Story." Writer and director Jeff Nichols took extra care in recreating the original footage of the couple. It chronicles an unassuming, interracial couple whose fight to stay married went all the way to the Supreme Court in the 1950s. This decision has changed, and will continue to change, millions of lives.

Come watch it on a large format screen in the community room. Light refreshments will be served.

Tickets are limited. No-shows are strongly discouraged. Don't register before you check your calendar! If you can't attend, let us help you find someone who can!

Runtime: 2 hours and 3 minutes

Backup/replay location is available due to inclement weather, seating issues.
