When and Where is the Celebration?
Join us for an afternoon of food and fun for a summer potluck picnic, co-organized by the Baltimore Metro Interracial Group (BMI), in honor of Loving Day.
Bring a dish. Bring the kids. Bring games. Bring music. Invite friends.
You're welcome to bring anything you like to share, but if you're not sure, we can use last names as a guide:
A-E bring a dessert
F-K bring meat and buns/cold cuts and bread
L-P bring a side dish
Q-Z bring beverages (alcoholic beverages are prohibited)
Please practice “Leave No Trace” principles and take your trash with you when you leave. Make sure charcoal is completely out before leaving the premises. If bringing personal grills, they are permitted in the picnic areas only. Do not dump coals in the park or trash cans.
Our summer potluck picnic will be in honor of Loving Day, which commemorates the anniversary of the Loving v. Virginia (1967) decision that legalized interracial marriage in the United States.
We look forward to tasting your potluck dishes and enjoying a relaxing afternoon together.
