When and Where is the Celebration?
Join MAVIN in our annual Loving Day celebration - a community and family event that honors and commemorates the Supreme Court decision, Loving v. Virginia 1967, that legalized interracial marriage in the United States.
We are excited to host this year's event at the West Seattle Youngstown Cultural Arts Center. There will be snacks & beverages, local artist entertainment, kids' activities, a raffle, information on Loving Day and MAVIN, and the opportunity to meet others in the community who share the goal of a healthy and racially just society!
Local artists Jessica Porter, singer/songwriter and Wade Colwell-Sandoval, musical artist and co-founder of Funkamentalz will be performing at the event!
Listen to a sample of Wade Colwell-Sandoval's work here - specifically written for Loving Day!
There will be an opportunity to sign up for volunteer work for MAVIN, as well as for bone marrow donation for mixed-marrow organizations.
Please bring your family & friends, and RSVP via this facebook event page or to firstname.lastname@example.org.
