When and Where is the Celebration?
Topic’s The Loving Generation is a documentary film series featuring a group of Americans born to one black parent and one white parent in the years following the Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia. The 1967 Loving case overturned all laws prohibiting interracial marriage; the series tells the stories of people from the following generation as they navigate “blackness,” “whiteness,” and the areas in between.
This Loving Day, please join the Center for Reconciliation for a screening of The Loving Generation and a community dialogue about multiracialism and identity.
