When and Where is the Event?
Loving Day has been invited to co-curate GOOD December, a great community event and gallery show hosted by GOOD Magazine. Please join us for the opening night of GOOD December - it's free!
About GOOD December:
GOOD December is a collaborative pop-up community center and gallery store. Located at Openhouse Gallery (201 Mulberry St) in the heart of downtown Manhattan, the space will be open to the public daily December 6-23. The space is organized around the themes of Media, Environment, Design, Technology, Design, Mobility, Culture, Business & Money, and Health.
About Loving Day:
The Loving Day Project's mission is to fight prejudice through education and to build a sense of community among people who engage in meaningful interracial and intercultural relationships. The name comes from Loving v. Virginia (1967), the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized interracial marriage in the United States.
Loving Day Celebrations commemorate the anniversary of the Loving decision every year on or around June 12th. Loving Day teaches people about the history of interracial couples and works to make the Loving case a universally recognized civil rights landmark.
