We are fortunate to live in a time where it's no longer illegal for us to be married. But the struggle continues for many of our friends who are in same sex relationships. Loving vs. Virgina is at the heart of this current issue. Let's continue to evolve!!!!!! Happy Loving Day! The Ahearn, Brooklyn NY

Hello guys,
My name is JoAnne Culley. I been exclusively interracially dating since I was 14, which caused my family to disown me, even after I took care of my father when he he had a stroke when I was 13. I began writing poetry when I was nine years old. I later began writing interracial love stories when I was 15.

At the end of last year I began to write and self publish interracial books, which are now sold on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

In elementary school, my mom always came in and did a Chinese New Year party with my class. It was tons of fun, and everyone though my mom was so cool. But when I went to visit my mom's parents in Massachusetts, I was always baffled by the strong Chinese presence in their house -- the characters, the symbols, the food, the language. In high school, I immediately took the opportunity to learn Chinese, and I excelled in my studies.

My husband and I have been happily together for 8 years and married for 7 of those years. And I can remember the 1st time it was brought to our attention that we were an interracial couple like it was yesterday; and I think about it often now. It sounds funny, but up until then, we really hadn't thought too much about the fact the he is white and I'm black. It was during our marriage counciling with our pastor. And she brought up the question of had we thought about the problems we may have with being interracial and problems our children may have if we had any.

I have always wondered if there is anyone similar to myself, so I'm gonna give this a shot...

I am 23 and have a German father and Jordanian mother. I love them both alot and I am glad they brought me to this planet and made sure I can speak both of their languages. People always wonder where I'm from, especially after they hear me talk. I've been told my accent is really strange. The question that follows is usually ''well, .. where did you grow up?''
