FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
New York jewelry studio Ken + Dana Design has created a "Rights" collection that celebrates four landmark civil rights decisions. The case ID for each of these U.S. Supreme Court decisions is transformed into a unique piece of jewelry.

One such case is Loving v. Virginia (388 U.S. 1 1967) which legalized interracial marriage in the U.S. This case is the inspiration for "Loving Day Wedding Bands," so named because thousands of people internationally celebrate the anniversary of Loving v. Virginia as "Loving Day."

For the second consecutive year, Ken + Dana Designs is giving away a set of Loving Day Bands (valued at $650). In order to win, contestants must "Like" the Ken + Dana Design page on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/kenanddanadesign), and then leave a comment on their blog (http://kenanddanadesign.com/blog/2011/05/26/loving-day-giveaway-2011/) about what Loving Day means to them.

Entries are due by June 10th at 11pm EST. The winning entry will be chosen by Loving Day founder Ken Tanabe (no relation to Ken from Ken + Dana Design) and will be announced on June 12, 2011 on the Ken + Dana blog.

About the Loving Day Project

The annual Loving Day celebrations commemorate Loving v. Virginia (1967), the Supreme Court case that legalized interracial relationships in America. The project uses digital media to provide educational resources and to encourage people nationwide to host their own celebrations on or around June 12th. Loving Day teaches people about the history of interracial couples in America. Loving Day Celebrations are an annual tradition that will one day make the Loving case a universally recognized civil rights landmark.
