I am happy to say I got married on August 12th in India to my partner Nathan who is British Jamaican. :) We have had a up and down journey but we have come through and are still going.

Indian society have a judgmental view of black ppl unfortunately, this is due to many things, the ill educated understanding of black ppl by Indian ppl and also the media stereotype of black ppl amongst other things.

Having dealt with negativity, I am happy to say we came back from India (Punjab) last month as Husband and Wife. India was a amazing experience my family, aunts, uncles and cousins loved Nathan. Even with the language barrier all my family could say was he is such a good man, and all my cousins called him 'paji', which means brother in Punjabi, all seeing past his colour, and racial differences.

India was so different from the reaction of Indian ppl in the west, ppl in the UK stare out of shock, disbelief and disgust, but in India, ppl would stare with intrigue, everyone from ppl on the road to ppl in shops would smile, and it seemed like Nathan was a Punjab celebrity for the two weeks he was there. :)

I am very happy to say I married to the man I want to share my life with. This may sound so crazy to some ppl who have the choice of being with who ever they want, but I can't begin to tell everyone how fortunate I feel... :)
