Letters to President Obama

(The letters from this campaign were sent to the White House during the final months of the Obama presidency.)

President Obama's historic presidency is coming to a close. Recent events have shown that we continue to struggle with race and equality. Your voice is more important than ever. Together, let's ask President Obama to add Loving Day to a proud and positive legacy for all of us.

For eight years, we have been collecting letters to President Obama. These letters ask him to celebrate and acknowledge millions of multiracial Americans and families by officially recognizing Loving Day as a "federal observance" on June 12th (like a holiday, but the banks stay open).

We mailed the original paper letters to the White House. We’re sharing digital copies on Facebook. Please join us in asking President Obama for official Loving Day recognition. It’s easy to contact the White House with this form.
